Satisfied with Satisfye SwitchGrip Lite
The SwitchGrip Lite from Satisfye creates a comfortable hold for the Switch Lite, while maintaining a pleasant aesthetic, minimalistic design, portability, and an easy to use stand. In comparison with other grips on the market for the Nintendo Switch, this grip stands on par with, if not happily above, the competition. By including a great carrying case as well, this combo is pretty much a must have for any active Switch Lite player.
It’s high praise, I know… but hear me out. The convenience of having a hand grip usually means carrying a bulky piece of plastic that easily breaks and usually just looks okay. As a person who normally is against add-ons to consoles, this grip has changed my mind on them entirely.
Most Switch grips on the market are ugly; in comparison, since my Switch Lite looks rad, I want my grips to be spectacular as well. The Satisfye SwitchGrip Lite delivers. From the front, all of the grip is white to match the buttons and joysticks on my Switch Lite. You can see little pieces that are a slight red, but they are minimal in the overall look of the grip. Negatively, the rubbery backside of the grip is black, which detracts from the all-white look, though I would foresee any other color than black or brown getting dirty extremely fast. From the front, these grips are completely eclipsed anyway. These black, rubbery grips are fantastic to hold, though. They feel great, and keep my hands from slipping no matter how dry or sweaty they may be.
Normally I complain about how the Switch being used alone is uncomfortable to grip, and only a bit better with a grip on it. Overall, the Switch Lite alone is much better for my hand and finger size than the original-sized Switch, but I continuously get hand and wrist cramps while holding it, as evidenced by my gameplay only being able to last about an hour or so without a break. The design of this grip completely gets rid of those cramps one hundred percent. Not even kidding. The ergonomic and asymmetrical design is extremely conducive to playing with all of the buttons and joysticks with minimal hand movement for as long as one may want to play.
The design is not complex by any stretch of the imagination. It has basic smooth edges, simple indentations for a better grip, and unassuming holders to keep your Switch Lite tightly inside the grip. The only embellishment is the Satisfye logo on the front, which is covered by the right thumb the entire time while playing to keep it from becoming a distraction, as well as a larger one on the back which you can’t see without turning the Switch Lite around. There is a little stand on the bottom of the grip to keep the Switch Lite upright, allowing gameplay to include a Pro Controller. Personally, I just like the stand to hold up my console instead of letting it sit where it could get bumped.
The case included with this package is also minimal. The Satisfye logo is included, with a little portion of the top of the case jutting out to allow for the joysticks to fit with the grip. It also contains storage for eight games, and comes with a classy handle and clasps to attach a crossbody strap (not included). The package also includes grips for the joysticks, which are actually pretty nice to use as well.
In general, I don’t know if I could find a better grip on the market for the Switch Lite than the Satisfye SwitchGrip Lite. Perhaps it is just the perfect one for my hands. However, considering hand comfortability, sleekness, and portability, this package is one of the best I have found.
You can buy the SwitchGrip Lite Elite Bundle or simply the grip itself directly from Satisfye.
