The last couple years have been some of the best ever for the video game industry. Because of this there has been a plethora of games released and, if you’re like most people, there are a ton of games you still hope to play. Time and money are both huge factors when it comes to what games we end up playing. To save you both we took the time to find out where you can save the most money this Black Friday and hopefully get caught up on most of the games that you have been wanting to play.
Hardware
Walmart, Target and Best buy are all offering a 1 TB PS4 slim with Spiderman packed in for a measly $199. That is a steal no matter how you look at it. If you still haven’t seen the greatness of Sony’s console – it’s time to take the plunge. Plus, you get one of the six games nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards included. That’s a no brainer.
Most places seem to be offering some sort of deal on PSVR this year as well. The best deals seem to be at Best Buy where you can get $100 off every PSVR bundle. Walmart has the Astro Bot Bundle available for $199, but that particular bundle only includes the headset and the game – so if you need the camera and Move controllers, checking out the many bundles at Best Buy will probably be the best way to go.
Microsoft’s powerful system, the Xbox One X, seems to be priced at $399 this holiday season at nearly every outlet who has had ads leak online.
Games
Like most Black Friday’s before it, 2018 seems to have most of the same games on sale no matter where you go. There are only a few dollars separating the best deal from the worst, but may as well pay as little as possible and take those savings to buy more games! Some of the biggest titles of the year Detroit Become Human, Far Cry 5 and the game of the year nominated Monster Hunter Worlds can all be picked up at Best Buy for $19.99. Let me say that again – $19.99. These are all must play titles and at that price how can you pass them up?
Sports fans will also find a lot to love at Best Buy this year considering NBA 2K19, FIFA 19, Madden 19 and NHL 19 are all priced at $29.99. By far the cheapest you will find any of these games to date.
Another Game of the Year nominee, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, is also coming in at the $29.99 price point at Best Buy. Most of these games have been released in recent months so getting them for under $30 is an incredible bargain.
Rounding out the Best Buy exclusive best price list is Star Link. You can save $40 off of any Star Link starter packs for anyone that was looking to break into the toys to life game.
Target has a couple games at the best price point this year so anyone looking for Black Ops 4 ($45) or Shadow of the Tomb Raider ($29.99) will be able to find both those games for the best price at the big red bullseye.
Wrapping up our little Black Friday guide are all the games that can be found at multiple locations for the same price. This will make it super easy for anyone who may not have certain stores near them.
Another strong Game of the Year contender and leading nominee at the game awards, God of War is only $25 at Wal Mart and Best Buy. If you haven’t played this game go wait in line now to make sure they don’t run out. If you still don’t own a PS4 then you need to pick up the Spiderman Bundle and God of War ensuring that you will now be able to not only play two of the best games this year, but of this entire generation.
It appears as though $35 is an inredibly popular price this year. Quite a few of the games priced cheaper elsewhere can be picked up for this price at most regardless of where you go. At $35, Target and Walmart are selling We Happy Few and Sea of Thieves while Destiny 2: Forsaken can be picked up at Walmart and Best Buy for the same price.
Fighting Game of the Year Nominee Soul Calibur 6 can be purchased for $35 at Wal Mart, Target and Best Buy.
Each of these are the cheapest you will find them to date.
At the time this list was comprised, GameStop still had not released their deals – so there is a good chance they will have many, if not all, of these games for sale at comparable prices as well.
Well, there you have it, the best games of 2018 for a fraction of their original prices. All that’s left for you to do is run out to the store of your choosing Black Friday and pick up any and all of the games that you still need to play!
